Why I Love To Read
From 'Cinderella' to 'The Boy In The Striped Pajamas' and with many stories in-between, directly or indirectly, our lives are filled with tales of heroes and villains, triumphs and defeat, or simply anecdotes of the oddities of creativity.
Yolo, what's up guys? I am Rhea Alvin, blogging my opinion on everything interesting under the sun ( and frankly even the moon, I do most of my typing at night). If you liked my blog, subscribe and stay tuned :)
A picture depicts a thousand words, but a story paints a thousand pictures in our innovative, artistic minds, and then, just imagine how much it says.
Stories are an idea of the dreams that people think of when they want to escape the shackles of their own world.
Stories are an immense part of anyone's life and they always have been. From primates to modern humans, we have weaved stories to pass on from generation to generation. You remember those stories your parents told you when you were in bed, the stories your grandparents told you when they were trying to get you to eat? They weren't just tactics to catch your attention, rather, they were heirlooms that one day you will find you are narrating to someone else.
- "A story is a letter that the author writes to himself, to tell himself things that he would be unable to discover otherwise."
- "Some of these things are true and some false, but they are all good stories."
- "But how could you live and have no story to tell?"
These quotes are excellent, not only because they are exceptionally worded but also because they vocalize the truth.
From the instant we are born till the moment we die, stories reshape our imagination every minute of the day and impact our grammar skills to such a degree that it cannot be denied what an influential role it plays in our lives.
But why do people like these stories? Because people would definitely love a chance to flee from their hard and hectic lives since novels and stories fill our heads with pictures, radiant and colorful ideas that act and play out their lives in your head.
But, concerning modern days, we must think also of its draw-backs and not only the perks. Kids in the modern generation are too attached to their gadgets to bother reading. Or are they?
People love reading, no matter what their age. It would be wrong to think that people of modern generations don't like reading when our gems in the world of writing arise from this age too. A lot of students take to writing when they are young, and using social media, they gain publicity too. And with young people writing come young people reading too.

And with discoveries like Kindle, Wattpad, and Audible, there is no reason to worry. And considering online publishing increases the chance of a budding writer to be noticed, we should be embracing it completely. And guess what? It's eco-friendly too. Yay!
