A poem-An Animal Activist

This post is different compared to my usual posts. Please bear with me. Thank you.

Once upon a sunshine,

There seemed to be a darkness

It seemed as if nothingness

Would exist once again.

I walked out the door

Determined to know

Where all the happiness

In the world was to go

I looked out and saw a sight

So gruesome it hurt

Animals all lifeless

Dead to the core

I rushed to see Coco 

And Buzo and Spark

My best friends through the years

But nothingness existed, existed once again

No one could be happy

No one could even smile

It seemed like dementors 

Were with us all the time

I wondered who could

Have achieved such a feat 

In one night they managed

To make me face defeat

But I being me,

The determined person I am

I wouldn't go so silently

I wanted to bring them back

I now have a change

A revolution in mind

I will take revenge

Though violence is estranged

An animal rights activist

A person with love 

That is what I'll be 

With justice in heart

I can't bring back Coco

I can't bring back Spark

But I can help the others

That come in my path.
